This chimney is in Galashiels, close to our Scottish Borders base. It was in reasonably good condition and only required the following maintenance works:
- Some pointing
- Fitting of a new chimney band
- Upgrade to lightning conductor
- Painting of the smokeband (black section at the head)
- Painting of the chimney with waterproofing boiled linseed oil / red oxide mixture
